Yeong, a young woman rebelling against her stepfather, fails her college entrance exams and begins drifting aimlessly with friends. During this period, she spends a night with Cheol, who had defended her from harassment by gang members. The next day, Cheol leaves for military service. Pregnant, Yeong leaves home and starts working at a bar while raising her son, Hoon. Years later, she meets Cheol again, who informs her that he is engaged. He asks her to leave and entrust Hoon to him. Yeong decides to send Hoon to Cheol, believing it will be better for the child.
